BONUS STRIP!

That's right, kiddies. An extra something for you the faithful reader to send you on your weekend of merriment. That and I thought it was pretty funny. Anyway, enjoy the crappy art and the funny joke. I have no idea why I think the word 'dingleberry' is funny, but it is.

ISSUE 80

Seems that I had another funny in me. Unfortunately, now you have to look at it. It includes my favorite character Fu-Manchu which is always a good time. You could squeeze this into the Bathroom Portal to Hell storyline if you want to envision that Fu-Manchu came from the portal, but I'm not sure if the guy is dead or not. Maybe he was just visiting? Anyway, enjoy the funny and this should get this out of my system for a while

ISSUE 79

Continuing on from the amazing guest strip we had from Friday, it seems the Portal to Hell in the bathroom could be useful!

ISUE 78 - FINAL STAB LIVE!

So I was checking out some super obscure, ultra-low budget horror flicks this weekend, and the title to one (Final Stab) really made me laugh. And so, since I've always wanted to be in a band, well, here ya go...

ISSUE 77 - IT'S ANYBODY'S GUEST

Happy Friday and Happy Upcoming Memorial Day Weekend! For the last comic till Tuesday, a very good buddy of mine and wondrous web comic artist/writer in his own right (head to the WOMBAT) has offered up an excellent piece for the strip. His name is Neil Bryer, and I wholeheartedly suggest you follow that link to his lair of funny as well. Show him some love with a few comments, won't you? Have a good one!

THE KIDS TAKE OVER!

Once again today I hand the reigns to my boys. Last night I asked if they'd like to draw a few pictures for the comic and they resounded with a 'OK!'. So, I let them go to it and do whatever they wanted. Here, as they say, are the results. I'm already laughing!

ISSUE 76 - WE DON'T BELONG HERE

Don't you just hate it when you find yourself in a situation you have no Earthly idea how you got into? Yeah, we've all been there. As for Stew and Doug here, well, this is a problem neither of us should ever, realistically, encounter. But I suppose you never know.

ISSUE 75: NEVER LET THE WRITER DO THIS!!

There is a reason that I'm the writer here at Swimming Upstream. I draw like a kindergartner! That being said, I do like to scribble from time to time. I do my own mini comics and everything! I assume at this point that I have gotten as much wrong as possible and I leave myself on your mercies, people of the magical Interweb.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

ISSUE 74 - LESSONS

So a meager fifty-dollar profit later, here are a few valuable lessons I learned from having a colossally worthless garage sale. Oh, and we have to have another in June. Whee.

ISSUE 73 - THE GARAGE SALE 3

So as our trilogy of Garage Sale comics draws to a close, it seems that the very real G.S. was a bit of a yawner. Even for a Thursday. We live basically smack in the midle of our street, so it stood to reason to post a sale sign at either end, as well as one at either end of the main road that feeds to ours. I, however, failed to take into consideration the speed of traffic as compared to the level/size of the signs. I, being a dipstick of a guy, assumed they were fine and people would figure it out, though I often subscribe to the opinion that the general populous of or town is incredibly stupid. Well, my wife confirmed said obviousness by informing me that, A) the signs are too small, and B) the signs are too high on the poles. I kinda saw this coming especially while we were purchasing said pre-made signs and just wondering if they were going to fill our criteria. Long story short, the $11.50 we made today went to the buying of new, bigger signs. What goes around comes around. Also I'm right more often than people assume. Go me. See ya Monday!

ISSUE 72 - THE GARAGE SALE PART II

Yes, I'm posting this early for tomorrow because, well, it is actually day one of the actual Garage Sale. My wife and I went through our storage room full of boxed and tubbed crap from 10 years plus three kids and I have to say: man do we need to have a garage sale... oh, right. Anyway, here's part two of the S.U. Garage Sale illustrating once again how the frequenters of of such sales tend to turn into their own personal Golums trying to covet their precious. I can't wait to deflate a few of those boobs tomorrow. Yeah.  Ok, Enjoy.

ISSUE 71 - THE GARAGE SALE PART 1

So, in my own personal reality, I'm having a garage sale tomorrow through Saturday. Now, here's the ironic part: I hate garage sales. People are stunningly moronic and are destined to either ask completely inane questions as though at a swap meet of some kind, or else try to fruitlessly haggle over a hundred-dollar item being sold for a dime as though paying eight cents will somehow keep them from going morally bankrupt. Anyway, we're having one because our storage room in our basement is at capacity and I'm sick of still having a crib around, if you dig. So, enjoy the comic and stop by the sale if you want, I'm sure you'll find something you'd like for a nickle.

CUTIE ZOO VI: MONSTERS ON PARADE

Here come the monsters one by one, hurray hurray
here come the monsters having fun, hurray hurray
They all came down from mountain tops
to eat all the humans, chop slop glop
And they all got full on guts and blood and bones and gore...

Yeah, you'll be singing that all day!

THE MONDAY AFTER

Hey guys! I hope your Mother's day was just as wonderful as mine was and you got to spend a whole day reminiscing just like I did. Anyway, since I didn't have time, or, honestly, the inclination to draw anything, here's a little something out of my archives. See ya tomorrow with somethin' new and exciting!

Woah! This was a looooong time ago... like 40 whole comics ago! Weren't we cute!

A FACE ONLY A MOTHER COULD LOVE

Here's your Mother's Day gift... sort of. It's my second Frankenstein homage  (click on the Franky pic on the rigt to see what I mean) and a tribute to Peter Boyle in Brooks' Young Frankenstein! Woah! Have fun with your moms! See ya Monday!

ISSUE 69 - IT'S BEEN A KILLER TIME

I just realized the two of us haven't been in a strip together for a log time! Well, what kind of injustice is this? Well, let's pretend for a moment we're catching up over breakfast...
