Boy, what a long weekend. I dropped my wife and kids off at the camp ground they'll be staying at with family on Friday. They'll be gone through this week and, well, I already miss the noise and hustle and bustle of daily life around here. So much so, in fact, that it's tough to sleep. Seriously. You'd think it'd be the other way round, but it surely is not. So, even aside from that, I was busy doing stuff so I didn't get to a comic for today. However, I did mess around with Photoshop a bit yesterday and you get to see the results! This is all hand-made (clouds, drips, rain, window pane...) I think it turned out pretty cool. So as our trilogy of Garage Sale comics draws to a close, it seems that the very real G.S. was a bit of a yawner. Even for a Thursday. We live basically smack in the midle of our street, so it stood to reason to post a sale sign at either end, as well as one at either end of the main road that feeds to ours. I, however, failed to take into consideration the speed of traffic as compared to the level/size of the signs. I, being a dipstick of a guy, assumed they were fine and people would figure it out, though I often subscribe to the opinion that the general populous of or town is incredibly stupid. Well, my wife confirmed said obviousness by informing me that, A) the signs are too small, and B) the signs are too high on the poles. I kinda saw this coming especially while we were purchasing said pre-made signs and just wondering if they were going to fill our criteria. Long story short, the $11.50 we made today went to the buying of new, bigger signs. What goes around comes around. Also I'm right more often than people assume. Go me. See ya Monday!

My wife and I went through our storage room full of boxed and tubbed crap from 10 years plus three kids and I have to say: man do we need to have a garage sale... oh, right. People are stunningly moronic and are destined to either ask completely inane questions as though at a swap meet of some kind, or else try to fruitlessly haggle over a hundred-dollar item being sold for a dime as though paying eight cents will somehow keep them from going morally bankrupt. Anyway, we're having one because our storage room in our basement is at capacity and I'm sick of still having a crib around, if you dig. So, thanks to my buddy and partner fo' LIFE (yo!), Doug, I have been addicted to Max Fleischer's Superman serials from the '40's. Just great cartoons on the whole. Anyway, I felt like doing a funny take on The Man Of Tomorrow with this little gem. Also, I did a bit of an homage to the old DC Comics covers as well. To see some really funny covers featuring The Man of Steel, check out Superdickery.com, (and then you'll get the 'kitchen window' thing) this guy loves his comics and does a great job making them laughable. Greetings all! I hope you had a wonderful, non-stressful, and hyper-gleeful weekend.

So, somewhere over the course of the day yesterday, I was wracking my brain over what I should do for the strip today when I hear a little voice screaming at the top of his lungs to my left. It was my middle boy, Simon, showing off a piece of his beautiful artwork at which we both shared a moment and a hearty laugh. Then it dawned on me: I need pics from ALL my kids and then I can make a super cute comic! So what you see before you is the comedic and artistic exploits of Simon, Charlie, and Addison (6, 7 3/4, and 3) expressed in wonderful strip form. Enjoy yourselves a good laugh.
